SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH NSF-Sponsored REU Program Broadening Participation in Atmosphere Science, Oceanography and Geosciences (AOG) Undergraduate Research , GA – May 16 to July 23, 2021

***The Tech EAS REU will allow participants to participate virtually. Participants may be allowed to stay on campus for the program if allowed by the university. All REU programming details are subject to change based on the evolving COVID-19 situation.***

Do you have an interest in researching environmental problems, including global climate change?

Do you have interest in any of the following areas? • Atmospheric Chemistry • Dynamics of Weather and Climate • Biogeochemistry • Geophysics • Oceanography and Climate • Paleoclimate • Space and Planetary Science • Remote Sensing

All STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) majors are encouraged to apply to participate in a ten-week undergraduate research program hosted by , , and . Participants will gain broad perspectives by participating in a dynamic research environment while working with a faculty mentor at one of the four partner institutions. The program also includes several professional development activities, “research horizons” faculty seminars, and a research symposium.

Participants will receive a stipend of $6,000 for the ten-week program, a travel allowance, and housing on the Georgia Tech campus. Participants must be U.S citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. and currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a U.S. college or university.
