The HOPE Scholarship Program Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally (HOPE): Georgia high school graduates with a 3.0 grade point average or higher who are seeking post-secondary education at one of Georgia’s public colleges or universities are eligible for the HOPE Scholarship, which covers 90 percent of tuition (100 percent for Zell Miller scholarship recipients). Beginning in August 2017, students in approved STEM courses will qualify for a 0.5 grade point average enhancement to encourage more HOPE-eligible students to enroll in challenging math and science courses.

Georgia’s High Demand Career Initiative The state’s High Demand Career Initiative, launched in 2014, is a pro-active collaboration between employers and post-secondary institutions to identify skill sets most in demand by Georgia employers. With proceeds generated through the Georgia Lottery, the HOPE Career Grant provides tuition-free education for qualified students enrolling in programs associated with 17 identified in-demand career opportunities.
