From the Editor 2 To the Editor On Thursday, September 11, 2008, the eleventh Annual Meeting of NCR REA will be held at The NCR Country Club in Dayton, Ohio. Annual Meeting 6 2007 An optional buffet luncheon will be served following the business meeting. NCR REA will share the cost of this luncheon with your share being $10.00 Registration for 7 2008 per person. You must be pre-registered to attend this activity. (NOTE: The Annual Meeting NCR Country Club requires a minimum of 25 guests to offer the buffet. This tour is limited to 25 people, so get your registration in early—first come, first served. NCR will offer a tour of the NCR Solution Center at 1:30 p.m. at World Headquarters. take either of these tours.

The NCR Retirees & Spouses of Charlotte, NC, held their 15th Annual NCR Luncheon with 61 attending. Those attending included Dwight Gris- wold from Bellbrook, Ohio, also John & Dianna Wallace from Pinellas Park, Florida, and Dot Douglas from Lakeland, Florida. All others were from Georgia, South Carolina, and North Caro- lina.

The meal was enjoyed by everyone with plenty of good food, door prizes, group and individual pic- tures, and lots of fun and fellowship. Many re- marked it was the best and let's do the same next year.

Converted to a Coastal Minelayer, CMc-1, 31 October 1940 by the General Ship and Engine Works, East Boston, MA; Renamed Siren 12 November 1940; Reclassified as a Patrol Yacht, PY-13, 15 November 1940 and com- missioned USS Siren (PY 13); Decommissioned 2 May 1944 at the New York Navy Yard; Placed in ser- vice at the Naval Training School (Salvage); Placed out of service, 23 October 1945 at Thompkinsville, NY; Struck from the Navy Register 3 November 1945 and transferred to the War Shipping Administration for disposal; Sold, 13 May 1946.
