Xie Guo Zhong is a renowned, independent, Shanghai-based economist specialising in China and Asia. He is currently a director of Rosetta Stone Advisors and also China Boqi Environmental Science and Technology. He is a regular columnist for Cai Xin, the South China Morning Post and New Century Weekly.

Dr Xie is one of the few economists who has accurately predicted economic bubbles including the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis , the dotcome bubble (1999) and the more recent subprime meltdown in the United States that led to the financial crisis (2008).

In 2013 he was named ‘one of the 50 most influential persons in global finance’ by Bloomberg.

He was voted the number one economist in Asia between 2000 and 2006 by Institutional Investor Magazine and was selected by CCTV and the World Economic Forum as one of ten future economic leaders in China. Dr Andy Xie Publications

Andy is a regular columnist and contributor to South China Morning Post, Cai Xin, New Century Weekly and Bloomberg.
