Introduction Enjoy a complete hands-on learning experience that introduces you to the foods of Catalonia and the wines of the Priorat region in a relaxed and very comfortable atmosphere with all of the amenities for a luxurious weekend.
This program is for those guests who do not have the available time for a full 7- day or 9-day program. With three hands-on classes, it is a perfect introduction to the basics of Catalan cuisine. Three visits to local wine producers and vineyards, along with wine tastings will allow you to discover and appreciate the fantastic Priorat wines. A trip to the Scala Dei monastery will enable you to learn of the areas history as well as indulge in the landscapes of this beautiful region.
Day by day itinerary DAY 1: BARCELONA OR REUS - EL MASROIG - Pickup at Barcelona or Reus airport in the morning. 1.5 hour drive to El Masroig from Barcelona and 30mins from Reus. - Welcome aperitif followed by a guided visit of the El Masroig winery which includes a wine tasting. - Catalan cuisine class followed by dinner. - Overnight in El Masroig D
DAY 2: EL MASROIG - Breakfast. - Visit to one of the areas wineries which includes tour and wine tasting. - Lunch in a restaurant, followed by some free time in El Masroig. - Catalan cuisine class followed by dinner. - Overnight in El Masroig B, L, D

OVERNIGHTS: HOTEL HIGHLIGHT: 3 EL MASROIG CAN MIQUELET DEL MANO CAN MIQUELET DEL MANO FOURTH GENERATION FAMILY HOUSE, BUILT IN STONE BY ALICIA´S GREAT GRANDFATHER, AND IT IS LOCATED IN THE SMALL TOWN OF EL MASROIG Recently Can Miquelet del Mano has been completely restored and fitted with all of the amenities necessary to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. There are three double bedrooms, all with private bathroom. A sitting room provides a common area where guests can read, listen to music, converse, or just relax. The heart of the house is the large kitchen/dining area with its open fireplace, where your classes will take place. Under the house is the barrel filled wine cellar with adjoining wine tasting room. Here is where you will learn of the famous priorat wines.
A separate bar area provides yet another space where aperitifs or after dinner drinks are served. The garden and outdoor fireplace is where you will be making Carn a la brasa, a typical catalan meal consisting of a variety of meats grilled over live coals. The whole house is climate controlled so that you may be cool in the summer, and warm in the winter.
