Gli Alleati E La Mafia Sulle Pagine Dell'ora (1958-1963)
VERITÀ O FALSIFICAZIONE? GLI ALLEATI E LA MAFIA SULLE PAGINE DELL’ORA (1958-1963) Truth or falsification? The Allies and the mafia on the pages of L’Ora (1958-1963) CIRO DOVIZIO Università degli Studi di Milano [email protected] https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5730-0747 DOI https://doi.org/10.14195/0870-4112_3-5_5 Recebido em agosto de 2018 Aprovado em dezembro 2018 Biblos. Parole chiave: Storia; Mafia; Sbarco in Sicilia; Alleati; Politica. ABSTRACT. The article examines the genesis of a historical controversy concerning the relations between the Si- cilian-American mafia and the U.S. Army during the Allied landing in Sicily (1943). According to a popular narration by Michele Pantaleone, the mafia allegedly provided military support for the Allies to invade the island. -
