Facilities The Industrial Design program is different than other schools in that it is housed in the Engineering & Design Department. This means that we have access to amazing manufacturing facilities. CNC, waterjet cutters, laser cutter, FDM 3D printing, composites lab, injection molders, extruders, milling , welding, CNC routers, paint booths and all of the standard shop equipment that you need to make anything you can imagine.

Admission Due to the small size, high quality and popularity of this major, admission is competitive. You must submit a portfolio to be accepted into the Industrial Design pre major. Visit the website for portfolio requirements and examples.

The program accepts 24 pre majors and 12 full majors every year. Admission to the pre major will depend heavily on the entrance portfolio. The portfolio should showcase your , drawing, design, engineering and projects. Portfolios are reviewed in October, January, and April. Check the website for details. You may apply whenever you are ready.
