Description of Class: Well-behaved women seldom make history.
In this Breaking the Rules, we will meet 10 defiant women from United States history, who didn't ask permission to make their mark on the world. Students will learn about lesser- known rebel-rousers such as Alice Paul, C.J. Walker and Dolores Huerta.
Students will learn via PowerPoint with visuals, interesting anecdotes and games of Kahoot! to introduce these women to the students. We will discuss the traits that these women poses and how these qualities helped them to make a difference in our country's history. Every class will end with a discussion about how these women can inspire us to practice resilience in our own lives.
