- Canyonlands National Park Natural Bridges National Monument FEES - COLLECTED APRIL - Labor Day A daily entrance fee of $1 per vehicle, including motorbikes, is collected at Arches National Park, from mid-April and Natural Bridges from mid-May through the T-»h"r Day weekend. The fee for other methods of entrance is 50$ per person (including bus passengers). The $10 Golden Eagle Passport is an annual entrance permit for all NPS fee areas. Golden Age Passports, courtesy lifetime entrance permits for citizens 62 years of age and over, provide a 50% discount on camping. These passports can be obtained at the Arches and Natural Bridges visitor centers and the offices in Moab and Monticello, . There is no fee charged for entering Canyonlands National Park. Individual campsites, for a maximum of 8 persons, are operated on a first-come, first- served basis. Reservations aren't accepted and there is a 14 day maximum stay. A camping fee of $4 per site per night is collected at the Devil's Garden campground in Arches NP and $4 per site per night at the Squaw Flat Campground in the Needles District of Canyonlands. Limited group sites are available by reservation at Arches NP and the Needles District. Fees for group sites are $10 (10 person minimum) and $1 per person thereafter. No collection during off-season months (September thru mid-April). INTtRPRETIVE ACTIVITIES - April - Labor Day Campfire Programs are presented during the summer season at Devil's Garden Campground Arches NP; Willow Flat Campground (Island in the Sky District) and Squaw Flat Campground (Needles District), Canyonlands NP; and at Natural Bridges NM Campground. Topics include , wildlife, plantlife, history and other subjects related to the high desert environment. Guided Walks are conducted through the Fiery Furnace in Arches NP on a daily basis. This is a two mile walk taking about 2 hours. Other areas may offer guided walks during the summer season so be sure and check park bulletin boards for undated informa­ tion. Self guiding trails are available throughout the park areas. Visitor Information is provided at Arches visitor center, Natural Bridges visitor center and Canyonlands NP headquarters in Moab. District information stations are located at Island in the Sky, Needles, and the Maze. Arches NP and Natural Bridges NM visitor centers provide displays about the park and short informational slide shows. Natural Bridges is the site of the world's largest operating photovoltaic system producinq electricity from sunlight. A viewpoint overlooks the solar collector and an audio-visual program helps explain the system.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Free backoountry permits are available at each information station in the districts of Canyonlands NP, Arches and Natural Bridges visitor centers or roving park rangers for backcountry hikes, overnight camping or flat water river trips.
