Contact details for Committee Clerks are provided at the end of the Bulletin. Education and Culture Committee 2nd Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 9.15 am in Committee Room 4 1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 4 in private. 2. Broadcasting: The Committee will take evidence from— Ken MacQuarrie, Director, John Boothman, Head of News and Current Affairs, and Bruce Malcolm, Head of Commonwealth Games 2014, BBC Scotland. 3. Petition: PE1451: The Committee will consider petition PE1451 by Belinda Cunnison on behalf of Freedom to Choose, calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to review the smoking prohibition and control provisions of the Smoking, Health and Social Care (Scotland) Act 2005 in the light of new developments in clean air technology and the European indoor air quality standard Ventilation for non-residential buildings, EN 13779. Public Petitions Committee 2nd Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 10.00 am in Committee Room 2 1. Consideration of new petitions: The Committee will consider— PE1454 by Natalie Robb on hyperemesis specialist nurses and take evidence from— Natalie Robb and will then consider— PE1459 by James A Mackie on a review of coastal erosion protocols and responsibilities and take evidence from— James A Mackie; David Mackay; William Sievewright and will then consider— PE1462 by Marion Ferguson, on behalf of the Ivacaftor Patient Interest Group, on a new treatment for cystic fibrosis PE1450 by James A Mackie on the environmental and genetic impact on natural stocks of sea and brown trout. 2. Tackling child sexual exploitation in Scotland (in private): The Committee will consider the terms of reference and the appointment of an adviser for its inquiry into tackling child sexual exploitation in Scotland.
