Charity Events Charity a mega slide, obstacle course and sumo suits as well as a lot of Charity Day sugar in the form of sweets, cakes, slushies and ice cream! Other popular events included Sponge a Teacher and the Open On Thursday 20 July the school’s annual Charity Day was held, Mic. Thank you to everyone for taking part, making the day a raising £1352 pounds for our charities Cancer Research UK and huge success and raising lots of money for our charities. John James Newman Concert

John James Newman (singer/ songwriter of ‘The Voice’ fame) performed at Pate’s in March this year to raise money for the school’s Making £nds Meet fundraising campaign. John gave a soulful performance with his rhythmic guitar and eclectic repertoire, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. Jim Wain and the student tech crew transformed the hall with their professional lighting. Thanks to Pate’s parent Barry Chandler, from Montpellier Lodge, for organising – and to our own Samantha Attwood (Head of Languages) and her band, “The No Good Nancy’s’ who were a brilliant bonus support act! Valentine’s Day

Love was in the air at Pate’s this Valentine’s day, as some of the Sixth Form’s finest musicians roamed the school delivering Serenadograms to unsuspecting pupils and staff. The musical troupe was part of a day of charity fundraising which raised over £1400 for Breast Cancer UK. SCAN IMAGE
