DSOD 2021 SUMMER DANCE POLICIES

ENROLLMENT All enrollment is completed online at www.dsodkc.com. A student is considered enrolled once tuition has been paid. Classes may not be reserved via phone. Summer enrollment opens online each year at the end of May.

TUITION Tuition must be paid prior to the 7-week session before a student can participate in class. Each online account must have a “Parent 1” assigned to it. Parent 1 understands that he or she is solely responsible for all account charges. Tuition must be paid online with a credit card or in person with cash. DSOD does not accept checks.

PARKING Please respect our neighboring businesses and park in front of the dance studio or in the middle section of the main parking lot. Parking in front of other establishments is not allowed.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE Students should arrive 5 minutes prior to their scheduled class and should remain in the car until the teacher motions for them to come in. All students should depart immediately after class. All students must wear a facemask to class.

PARENTS’ WEEK At this time, we are not offering Parents’ Week due to Covid-19. Parents are encouraged to watch their child online through our BAND app.

GUM, CANDY, FOOD AND DRINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE DANCE STUDIO

REQUIRED DANCE SHOES Please label all dance shoes with dancer’s full name. Shoes with no name will be labeled by DSOD.

3-Year-Olds through 4th Graders: tap shoes and ballet shoes (any color) 5th Graders - 2021 Graduates: jazz shoes (any color) 6th - 12th Grade Ballet Students: pink ballet shoes 6th - 12th Grade Technique Class Students: jazz shoes (any color)

COMBO & JAZZ CLASS ATTIRE Leotards, tights, dance tops, dance leggings, dance shorts and dance skirts are acceptable. These items may be any color for classes. Tights are required in white, tan, black or pink. No bare legs or street clothes.

th th BALLET CLASS ATTIRE (6 - 12 Grade) Black leotard and pink tights are required. Ballet skirts are acceptable. White, suntan and black tights are not allowed. Bare legs, shorts, pants and t-shirts are not allowed. Hair must be in a bun. No jewelry please.
