The Hero’s Journey: Jumping Mouse — What Does It Mean to be a People of Resilience?

A CENTERING THOUGHT: Breathe in, knowing we are made of All this, and breathe, knowing We are truly blessed because we Were born, and die soon within a True circle of motion, Like eagle rounding out the morning Inside us. We pray that it will be done In beauty. In beauty. — from, “Eagle Poem”, by Joy Harjo (In Mad Love and War)

EXTINGUISHING THE CHALICE

MUSIC NOTES – "For Good" is one of the most iconic songs from the 2003 musical Wicked, by Stephen Schwartz. In it, the characters Elphaba and Glinda sing a final farewell anthem about their friendship, asking both for forgiveness and acknowledgment of gratitude for the ways people can influence us and impact our lives for the better. "The Ground" is an excerpt from a larger work (Sunrise Mass) by the young Norwegian composer, Ola Gjeilo, who has made a name for himself as a significant choral composer of the last 15 years. "The Ground" is based on a chorale from the culmination of the Mass, in which Gjeilo seeks to convey a sense of having arrived at a place of peace and grounded strength, after a long journey.
