2 Man Aggregate Competition River Ridge Men’s Club July 1, 2017

Rules The Stableford competition is a stroke play event that rewards aggressive play penalizing the “big number”. The scoring in Stableford is made by points awarded in relation to a fixed score on each hole. Points will be awarded as follows:

Double Bogie+ (More than one over ) 0 Birdie (One under fixed score) 4 Bogie (One over par) 1 Eagle (Two under fixed score) 7 PAR (Fixed score) 2 Double Eagle (Three under fixed score 12

The marker is responsible for marking the “gross” number of strokes on each hole for each player of the opposing team. The committee will utilize the computer manager program to score the tournament. It is not necessary to record the points. For a 2 Man Aggregate Stableford, both players’ points will be totaled for each hole and the round. All results will be posted as each flight completes play. USGA Stroke Play Rules apply except as amended by the local rules on the back of the course scorecard.

When a player can no longer earn points on the “net” score (and the group is out of position) the player is encouraged to pick up and move to the next hole. This should be a very quick round!! Equitable Stroke Control applies to any hole not completed to determine the player’s final score. Check with a Board Member if you do not understand ESC. This is a postable tournament round and will be posted by the Tournament Committee.
