Changes to bus services 70 and 80 linking

Swindon, Chiseldon, Marlborough, Burbage & Tidworth

starting 1st June 2015

The Stagecoach bus company has advised us that from 1st June 2015, it will be extending its local bus service 8 in Swindon to run to Chiseldon. As a result the company has decided to cease running its bus service 70 to Ogbourne St.George and Marlborough, which it currently operates as a commercial venture.

To ensure that a bus service will still operate through Ogbourne St.George village and Draycott Foliat, we have therefore arranged for bus service 80 which is already funded by Wiltshire Council, to be extended to Swindon approximately every 2 hours.

The new timetable for service 80 is shown overleaf – please note that in Swindon bus station, bus numbers 80 and evening buses 70A/72A will pick up at bay number 8, whilst journeys on bus number 8 (marked X in the timetable) will be departing from bay 5. Also included in this leaflet are the times of Stagecoach service 5 which links Marlborough with Chiseldon, Ogbourne, and Swindon on Sundays and public holidays:
