Hola, BienvenidosBienvenidos–––– a la iglesia Catolica en Immaculata Concepcion. ¡Que tengas una bendita semana!

Parish Staff Fr. Carl’s Little Reservoir… Directory We only have four more days until we launch our 32nd annual parish Labor Day Picnic. Since we missed last year due to 618-281-5105 the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re making this year’s a 3 day event. This will be my 18th parish picnic since arriving here back in 2003. As many of you will remember, we had lots of rain that Labor Day, so our attendance and our profits were down. But the spirit of our workers was not. I will never forget the sight of our bingo workers trekking through the mud under our Pastor: bingo tent to keep our patrons playing. Fr. Carl E. Scherrer If you haven’t yet signed up to work this year, it’s never too late and we still need lots of workers. Go online to ext. 358 or www.icpicnic.org and click on “Ways to Help,” or call our picnic chairperson, Kate Keinzle, at 314:698-8782. Thanks to all 618-541-9008 who have signed up to work this year, and to all our volunteers who have been so faithful for so many years. Special thanks to [email protected] Delores Deleveski who was one of the founders of the picnic, and who remains our chairperson emeritus!

Associate Pastor As we have done on occasion at previous picnics, our Pastoral Council decided this past Tuesday to donate 5% of the gross Fr. Nick Fleming, proceeds from our picnic to the U. S. Bishops Emergency Disaster Fund to assist our sisters and brothers in Haiti who have 618-974-9184 recently been devastated by both an earthquake and a tropical storm. Bishop McGovern had invited all parishes in the Diocese [email protected] to take up a special collection in September for this cause, so the Pastoral Council decided to do this in place of a special collection. There will also be donation jars throughout the picnic grounds for anyone who would like to make a direct Business Manager, Keith donation. You all make me proud to be your pastor! ~Fr.
