RESOLUTION COMMENDING REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN REINCE PRIEBUS

WHEREAS, When Reince Priebus announced his candidacy for Chairman of the Republican National Committee in December of 2010 he stated: "I will keep expenses low, I will put in strong and serious controls, we will raise the necessary funds to make sure we are successful, we will work to regain the confidence of our donor base, and I will personally call our major donors to ask them to rejoin our efforts at the RNC";

WHEREAS, After seven rounds of voting on January 14, 2011, Reince Priebus was elected to his first term as Chairman of the Republican National Committee; inheriting a 23 million dollar debt;

WHEREAS, Chairman Priebus cut the debt nearly in half by the end of 2011, by raising money from returning donors who had abandoned the RNC years ago and by recruiting new donors, all of whom put their trust in him;

WHEREAS, Chairman Priebus ran for a second term and won on January 25, 2013, then on January 16, 2015, Chairman Priebus was reelected unanimously to an unprecedented third term;

WHEREAS, Chairman Priebus has held true to his conservative beliefs throughout his tenure, he has upheld the principles of the Republican Party Platform, and we especially commend him for not shrinking back from his strong pro-life stance;

WHEREAS, During the very competitive Presidential Primary in 2016, Chairman Priebus maintained a fair and unbiased posture to all Republican Presidential candidates and he oversaw a very demanding Presidential Debate schedule;

WHEREAS, In July 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio, under the leadership of Chairman Priebus, the Republican National Committee had a very successful and exciting convention, where Donald J. Trump was elected Republican Nominee for President of the United States; and

WHEREAS, Chairman Priebus strongly supported Republican Presidential Nominee Donald J. Trump, in one of the most historic elections in U.S. history and Donald J. Trump is now the U.S. President-elect, Mike Pence is Vice-President-elect, and Republicans won broad victories across the nation; therefore, be it
