  • Le Mans Fan Guide 2006 Jacky Ickx
24 Heures du Mans Fan Guide 2006 „If you've never been at Le Mans, than you've never experienced a race!“ Tom Kristensen Update: 12.06.2006 22:00 Vorwort Bereits zum dritten Mal erstellen wir nun einen deutschsprachigen Le Mans Fan Guide. Le Mans 2006 also eine klare Sache? Dies bleibt abzuwarten. Vom Speed her scheinen die Pescarolo auf einer einzelnen Runde einen minimalen Vorteil zu haben. Ob dieser jedoch über die Distanz von 24h gehalten werden kann wird sich am 24. Wochenende des Jahres klären. Wir erleben aber auch eine LMP2 Kategorie die das laufen gelernt hat und sowohl an Qualität und Quanität zugelegt hat.

INITIAL D: Story Initial D is about a young Japanese ’lad’,Takumi Fujiwara. He has been delivering Tofu every morning for his Dad's shop since he was young. Initially dis-interested, his dad, Bunta Fujiwara taught him to be a great race car driver. When Takumi was forced to race with the ‘Red Suns’ in his Dad's AE86 Tru- eno he started to get interested in racing and the story moves forward. COMIC & ANIME SERIES: Inspired by Wangan Midnight (see elsewhere), Initial D appeared first in 1996 as a 200 page manga comic/book. Wangan is about Highway racing, whereas Initial D focuses on Touge (mountain pass) rac- ing. The series is created by one Shigeno Shuichi. After dozens of books, It soon became an Anime se- ries (part CGI, part hand-drawn). The series is known as ‘Initial D 1st Stage/2nd Stage/3rd Stage’. The movie is ‘Extra Stage’. ABOUT DRIFTING: What is it? Drifting is just a cornering technique which sees the driver have the car as sideways as possible, for as long as feasible, with as much smoke and tyre squeal as can be mustered. When did it start? Becoming popular a bit more popular in the USA during the Mid nineties, it took Europe even longer to catch on. Drifting is said to have first being seen in the Japanese Touring Car Series in the seventies! One Kunimitsu Takahashi is credited with being the first to use this technique. However it’s fair to say that all racing drivers have always had cars sideways for kicks, so it’s probably unfair to talk about the ’roots’ of drifting.

  • The Track Racing Handbook
The Track Racing Handbook Syed Misbah syedmisbah.github.io | +91 9066665419 The Handbook of Track Driving Nowadays everyone wants to be a speed racer. Whether is comes out of being a true car lover, or just for the sake of testing your limits to attain that adrenaline rush, street racing, drag racing and performance rallying are something most people having a car aspire or are inspired to do. But one cannot simply drive like Sebastien Loeb or Peter Solberg without having at least a basic technical knowledge of how it all works. And this is what this article, which I have compiled after a great deal of research and personal experience, educates you on…from the techniques behind all those drags and drifts to the underlying principle of how spark plugs and the infamous NOS kits work! Warning: I am 24 right now, and I have had my fair share of high-speed experiences as well as a couple of near misses. Let me tell you this: It is not a good thing at all to drive at insanely high speeds (above 130 kph) in India in any car, be it a Lamborghini or a Skoda. All of your mind is focused on the next few kms of visible blacktop and their flanks, and even if you know there is absolutely nothing around as far as you can see, you have to keep telling yourself that's not enough. After having reached those speeds you realize that it was a bad idea, and that curve in the distance has come in a matter of seconds.

  • 2006 Formula D Championship Rules and Regulations 1
2006 Formula D Championship Rules and Regulations THE FORMULA DRIFT CHAMPIONSHIP Entering its third season, Formula Drift Championship, produced and owned by Irvine, Calif.-based Formula Drift, Inc., continues to expand into new markets as the first and only sanctioned and recognized North American professional drifting championship series (sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing). This high-skilled, high-powered motor sport where drivers intentionally maneuver their cars into well executed, controlled sideways slides at high speeds through a marked course, has more than 30 professional drivers competing in all six competitions this year. A well established sport in Japan for more than a decade, Formula Drift, Inc. and its sister company Slipstream Global Marketing, Inc. had the vision and were instrumental in bringing the first official competition to the United States in 2003 at Irwindale Speedway. The unanticipated fan interest led to the rapid formation of the first ever, sanctioned and recognized drifting circuit, Formula Drift, which had its roots firmly grounded in Southern California, a hotbed for incoming Japanese-influence automotive trends. An important part of the program involves community outreach. Drivers and Formula D serve as the ambassador for the sport of drifting bringing exhibitions to traditional or mainstream motor sports events across the country which has included: Bridgestone Monterey Grand Prix/Champ Car Race, USAC, NASCAR Busch North & Featherlite Southwest and the SPEED World Challenge, among others. In addition another 100-200 local team drivers will join in local markets to test their skills and techniques with the pros. Judged on execution and style, rather than who finishes the course in the fastest time, Drifting is a guaranteed crowd pleaser, and is often compared to the freestyle nature of skateboarding and motocross.
