The Track Racing Handbook The Track Racing Handbook Syed Misbah syedmisbah.github.io | +91 9066665419 The Handbook of Track Driving Nowadays everyone wants to be a speed racer. Whether is comes out of being a true car lover, or just for the sake of testing your limits to attain that adrenaline rush, street racing, drag racing and performance rallying are something most people having a car aspire or are inspired to do. But one cannot simply drive like Sebastien Loeb or Peter Solberg without having at least a basic technical knowledge of how it all works. And this is what this article, which I have compiled after a great deal of research and personal experience, educates you on…from the techniques behind all those drags and drifts to the underlying principle of how spark plugs and the infamous NOS kits work! Warning: I am 24 right now, and I have had my fair share of high-speed experiences as well as a couple of near misses. Let me tell you this: It is not a good thing at all to drive at insanely high speeds (above 130 kph) in India in any car, be it a Lamborghini or a Skoda. All of your mind is focused on the next few kms of visible blacktop and their flanks, and even if you know there is absolutely nothing around as far as you can see, you have to keep telling yourself that's not enough. After having reached those speeds you realize that it was a bad idea, and that curve in the distance has come in a matter of seconds. You then hysterically reach for the brakes trying to slow down for the corner and just when you feel like you have it under control and are taking the corner slowly, you look at the speedo; the car is still doing 140. At those speeds you lose your sense of perspective. This effect is called velocitization. If 200 seems fast to you, braking down to 100 will seem like you are almost about to stop. Doing such speeds, on any road-especially Indian roads is suicidal. This holds for any car, anywhere. DO NOT RACE on public roads, ever. If you’ve to race, go to your local racing track and book a day. Racing IS DANGEROUS and can cost you your life & possibly that of others. 24 Heures du Mans Fan Guide 2006 „If you've never been at Le Mans, than you've never experienced a race!“ Tom Kristensen Update: 12.06.2006 22:00 Vorwort Bereits zum dritten Mal erstellen wir nun einen deutschsprachigen Le Mans Fan Guide. Le Mans 2006 also eine klare Sache? Dies bleibt abzuwarten. Vom Speed her scheinen die Pescarolo auf einer einzelnen Runde einen minimalen Vorteil zu haben. Ob dieser jedoch über die Distanz von 24h gehalten werden kann wird sich am 24. Wochenende des Jahres klären. Wir erleben aber auch eine LMP2 Kategorie die das laufen gelernt hat und sowohl an Qualität und Quanität zugelegt hat.

INITIAL D: Story Initial D is about a young Japanese ’lad’,Takumi Fujiwara. He has been delivering Tofu every morning for his Dad's shop since he was young. Initially dis-interested, his dad, Bunta Fujiwara taught him to be a great race car driver. When Takumi was forced to race with the ‘Red Suns’ in his Dad's AE86 Tru- eno he started to get interested in racing and the story moves forward. COMIC & ANIME SERIES: Inspired by Wangan Midnight (see elsewhere), Initial D appeared first in 1996 as a 200 page manga comic/book. Wangan is about Highway racing, whereas Initial D focuses on Touge (mountain pass) rac- ing. The series is created by one Shigeno Shuichi. After dozens of books, It soon became an Anime se- ries (part CGI, part hand-drawn). The series is known as ‘Initial D 1st Stage/2nd Stage/3rd Stage’. The movie is ‘Extra Stage’. ABOUT DRIFTING: What is it? Drifting is just a cornering technique which sees the driver have the car as sideways as possible, for as long as feasible, with as much smoke and tyre squeal as can be mustered. When did it start? Becoming popular a bit more popular in the USA during the Mid nineties, it took Europe even longer to catch on. Drifting is said to have first being seen in the Japanese Touring Car Series in the seventies! One Kunimitsu Takahashi is credited with being the first to use this technique. However it’s fair to say that all racing drivers have always had cars sideways for kicks, so it’s probably unfair to talk about the ’roots’ of drifting.

  • High-Speed Autonomous Drifting with Deep Reinforcement Learning
1 High-speed Autonomous Drifting with Deep Reinforcement Learning Peide Cai∗1, Xiaodong Mei∗1, Lei Tai2, Yuxiang Sun1, and Ming Liu1 Abstract—Drifting is a complicated task for autonomous ve- hicle control. Most traditional methods in this area are based on motion equations derived by the understanding of vehicle dynamics, which is difficult to be modeled precisely. We propose a robust drift controller without explicit motion equations, v which is based on the latest model-free deep reinforcement β learning algorithm soft actor-critic. The drift control problem (a) Drifting through a corner (b) Normal driving through a corner is formulated as a trajectory following task, where the error- based state and reward are designed. After being trained on Fig. 1. Comparison between drifting and normal driving through a corner. The proposed controller is further shown to have excellent generalization ability, which can directly handle unseen vehicle types with different physical properties, dynamics to reduce lap time with high-speed sideslip cornering such as mass, tire friction, etc. for racing games. The results could further contribute to the understanding of aggressive driving techniques and extend the Index Terms—Deep reinforcement learning, deep learning in robotics and automation, racing car, motion control, field robots. operating envelope for autonomous vehicles.

  • The Complete Stories
The Complete Stories by Franz Kafka a.b.e-book v3.0 / Notes at the end Back Cover : "An important book, valuable in itself and absolutely fascinating. The stories are dreamlike, allegorical, symbolic, parabolic, grotesque, ritualistic, nasty, lucent, extremely personal, ghoulishly detached, exquisitely comic. numinous and prophetic." -- New York Times "The Complete Stories is an encyclopedia of our insecurities and our brave attempts to oppose them." -- Anatole Broyard Franz Kafka wrote continuously and furiously throughout his short and intensely lived life, but only allowed a fraction of his work to be published during his lifetime. Shortly before his death at the age of forty, he instructed Max Brod, his friend and literary executor, to burn all his remaining works of fiction. Fortunately, Brod disobeyed. Page 1 The Complete Stories brings together all of Kafka's stories, from the classic tales such as "The Metamorphosis," "In the Penal Colony" and "The Hunger Artist" to less-known, shorter pieces and fragments Brod released after Kafka's death; with the exception of his three novels, the whole of Kafka's narrative work is included in this volume. The remarkable depth and breadth of his brilliant and probing imagination become even more evident when these stories are seen as a whole. This edition also features a fascinating introduction by John Updike, a chronology of Kafka's life, and a selected bibliography of critical writings about Kafka.
