Children Are Our Most Precious Gifts

St. Matthew is blessed to have numerous ministries that work with chil- dren and youth. Our commitment to provide protection to the chil- dren and youth in our care necessitates that we comply with the Arch- diocese’s safe environment regulations. Therefore, all employees and volunteers working in our children’s ministries are required to do the following: 1) Register on the database - cmgconnect.org; 2) Complete archdiocesan safe environment training prior to and within three years of service (first time, in-person; renewals, online); 3) Undergo a background check through the archdiocese prior to & within three years of service.

Each volunteer must register, fulfill training requirements, and order a background check as necessary. Click the Safe Environment link on our website for complete instructions: stmatthewtheapostle.net. Volunteers may also contact the rectory office to confirm compliance or for assistance, 737-4537 or [email protected].

If you suspect abuse or neglect by clergy or an employee or volunteer of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, please contact the Victims’ Assis- tance Coordinator, Pistorius. Call (504) 861-6253. You may also email [email protected]. 3
