LectureObjectives: 1) Gainknowledgeandfurtherappreciationforthebiologyanddiversityofmammalsworldwide. 2) Usecasestudiesofmammalstocomprehendclassicandcontemporaryissuesin behavior,,conservation,,andevolution. 3) Honecriticalthinkingskillsthroughanalysisofmaterialpresentedinclassandprimary literature. 4) Acquireabilitytointerpretscientificgraphsanddatasets. LaboratoryObjectives: 1) IdentifyallterrestrialandvolantmammalianordersandfamiliesofCanada. 2) IdentifymostterrestrialandvolantmammalianspeciesofBritishColumbiausingskinand skullspecimens. 3) Conductafieldsurveyformammalsusingtrapping,netting,andsign/trackcounts. 4) Becomeproficientinpreparationofmuseumspecimens.
