Quick Guide for Special Baggage SSR Requests

Types of SSR Special Baggage requests: SPEQ, BIKE, BULK and

SSR SPEQ to be used for following special baggage types:

ANGLING, ARCHERY, BASS, CELLO, DIVING, FISHING, GOLF, HOCKEY, KITEBOARD, SCUBADIVING, SKI, SN OWBOARD, , VAULTING, WAKEBOARD and WINDSURF

SSR BIKE to be used for bike(s).

All other types of bulky or large baggage are to be requested as SSR BULK!

Types of SSR requests: SSR WCBD: Battery dry SSR WCBW: Battery wet SSR WCLB: Lithium battery SSR WCMP: Manual power (if foldable no request is necessary)

SSR SPEQ requests for group PNRs

Following special baggage types must always be requested:

ANGLING, ARCHERY, BASS, CELLO, DIVING, FISHING, GOLF, HOCKEY, KITEBOARD, SCUBADIVING, SKI, , SURFBOARD, VAULTING, WAKEBOARD and WINDSURF

SSR SPEQ requests for individual PNRs

Following special baggage types must always be requested:

BASS, CELLO, HOCKEY, VAULTING and WINDSURF

No request is necessary for the following special baggage types:

ARCHERY, ANGLING, DIVING, FISHING, GOLF, KITEBOARD, SCUBADIVING, SKI, SNOWBOARD, SURFBOARD and WAKEBOARD

Please Note: The correct amount of SPEQ pieces must be requested, e.g.; ”SR SPEQ NN7-GOLF” for 7 golf bags.

The correct special baggage type (e.g. GOLF, HOCKEY) must always be entered as the first word in the free text part of the SSR SPEQ element.

If any of the above special baggage types are requested as SSR XBAG, the request will automatically be rejected with a reference to request as SPEQ.

Not all of the above special baggage types are accepted on small aircrafts, see SSI for further information.

If confirmed a reference to SAS Sales Information pages is given in the reply. It is the responsibility of the booking agent to secure that the Sales regulations are met.

Kayak and are not allowed as Special Bagage. Can only be transported as Cargo.

SSR BIKE requests for group PNRs

Packed or unpacked bike(s) must always be requested.

SSR BIKE requests for individual PNRs

No request is necessary for bike(s) packed in a bike bag.

Unpacked bike(s) for individual PNRs must always be requested by the use of Keyword ”UNPACKED”, e.g.; SR BIKE-UNPACKED

Please Note: Bike(s) for both group and individual PNRs must always be packed in a bike bag on small aircrafts, see SSI for further information.

The correct number of BIKE pieces must be requested, e.g.; ”SR BIKE NN3/P1-3” for 3 bikes.

SSR BULK requests for groups and individual PNRs

All types of bulky or large baggage not defined as SPEQ and BIKE must be requested as BULK.

Maximum weight is 32 kgs per piece.

See SSI for maximum dimensions, depending on aircraft type.

Description of the content to be included as free text in the request.

Please Note: The correct amount of BULK pieces must be requested, e.g.; ”SR BULK NN7-BOXES” for 7 boxes.

Ediss users must use Amadeus free flow format when requesting BULK, due to correct number of pieces must be included in the request.

If confirmed the maximum dimensions for the specific aircraft type is given in the reply. It is the responsibility of the booking agent to secure that these maximum dimensions are not exceeded.

SSR WCBD/BW/LB/MP requests for groups and individual PNRs

All types of wheelchairs must be requested accordingly:

SSR WCBD: Battery dry SSR WCBW: Battery wet SSR WCLB: Lithium battery SSR WCMP: Manual power (if foldable no request is necessary)

See SSI for maximum dimensions, depending on aircraft type.

Please Note: The correct amount of WCxx pieces must be requested, e.g.; ”SR WCxx NN2” for 2 wheelchairs.

Ediss users must use Amadeus free format for all WCxx requests, due to number of wheelchairs must be included in the request.

If confirmed a reference to SAS Sales Information pages is given in the reply. It is the responsibility of the booking agent to secure that the Sales regulations are met.

5 Examples of Requests and Replies Please note that all SSR requests for SPEQ, BIKE, BULK and Wheelchairs are processed automatically without any manual processing. It is therefore of utmost importance that the request is entered in the correct format.

Weight and measurements entered in the free text part of the SSR request is not validated manually nor automatically, hence it is the responsibility of the agent to secure that the weight and measurement restrictions are met in accordance with Sales Procedures (SSI).

It is the responsibility of the agent to comply with the content of the system generated reply message, such as; PROVIDED MAX DIMS 271X50X50CM, and secure that the measurements given in the free text complies with the system generated reply.

If the system generated reply message is PROVIDED REGULATIONS IN SALES PROCEDURES ARE MET it is the responsibility of the agent to comply with all procedures described in SSI.

Please Note: ”50x40x40CM” and ”170X150X125CM” entered by the agent, is NOT validated by the system!

6
