Two held for theft HYDERABAD: Officials of the Central Crime Station (CCS) and the LB Nagar Police arrested two persons from Uttar Pradesh who stole cash from passen- gers at LB Nagar Crossroad on Monday. Officials recovered Rs 2.92 lakh from their possession. The arrested were iden- tified as Mohd Shahnabaj (27) from Jaipur in Rajasthan and Amir Ansari (25) from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. Mohd Shahnabaj was arrested earli- er by the Dhanaura Police of Uttar Pradesh in property offence related cases. On Monday morning, officials received credible information that the duo was sighted at LB Nagar bus stand. TS student killed in mishap in Punjab SIRCILLA: An engineering student killed in a road accident in Jalandhar late on Sunday night. According to the reports reaching here on Monday, the deceased, Bonam Jaswanth Reddy is a native of Vemulawada town. He was pur- suing B Tech final year in Lovely Professional University in Punjab. Jaswanth along with a girl went to Jalandhar on two- wheeler and while returning to the campus, their bike was hit by a lorry around 11.30 pm. Jaswanth died on the spot as a lorry ran over him.
