With the beauty of the season, and the crispness in the air, this can only mean one thing… the gardening is done and it is time to get back into quilting with a vengeance!!! To help you, The Calico Shoppe has been receiving many fabric collections to inspire and get your creativity soaring! It is also that time of the year when we are off to Fall Quilt Market to see all that is new and exciting in the Quilting Industry. Summertime Wool Sampler Beginning in January

We will be meeting the third Saturday morning of each month for 6 months, creating this whimsical wool project

Use lovely bright wools with a dark wool or flannel background, or go for a more traditional look with darker wools and maybe a lighter background. You choose the look that is just right for you!!!

Class fee is $60 for 6 months plus required pattern “Summertime Sampler” January 21 is first meeting from 9:30 - 12:30

We will be starting Simple Whatnots 6 In January! There are 8 great projects this time, using Kim Diehl’s newest fabric collection “Katie’s Cupboard” ! Bird Walk Block of the Month

This stunning quilt uses the beautiful River Rock batiks by Marcus. You will be doing traditional piecing, applique and paper piecing as you journey through this project. Each month you will receive a pattern and all fabrics to complete that months block. Month twelve you will be receiving your finishing fabrics including the binding. Bird Walk is 50 x 66

Border Creek Station has done it again! This time they are using a gorgeous collection called “Courtyard” by none other than Moda! Again this Mystery quilt will be using 2 fabrics designed just for this quilt. Your Mystery will be solved in 8 months and we will be starting this project in October, which means the suspense will be building until May. Stop in to see a sampling of the fabrics and register for this awesome Mystery Quilt! We have a limited number of kits, so please sign up early. Quilt is 66” x 90” (large lap) Starting in October you will receive all of your fabrics, including binding, and you will be stopping in each month to pick up the next installment of the Mystery!
