Trace appliqués onto fusible web. Iron fusible to wrong side of wool. Cut out on the lines. Use placement pattern to fuse appliques to background. Stitch appliqués down using blanket stitch and matching threads. Trace letters and details (shown in blue on placement pattern) onto Sulky Tear Easy Stabilizer. Pin stabilizer to background and stitch with a tight outline stitch for letters, chain stitch for arms and satin stitch for the nose. Sew two colonial knots for the eyes (shown as orange dots on placement pattern). Sew star button on top of tree (shown as red X). Sew 3 gold beads on the belly and clear beads on the tree 1 limbs (shown as green dots). Trim homespun background to 9” x 9”. Fold over and press a /2” seam on all sides to make it 8” square. Attach homespun to back of project with a blanket stitch. Add a hanging sleeve if desired. Enjoy!
