Jeff Coffin is a saxophonist, bandleader, composer and educator. He is a three-time Grammy Award winner as a member of Bela Fleck & the Flecktones and played with them from 1997-2010. In July 2008, Coffin began touring with Band, and Montgomery officially joined the group in 2009 following the passing of founding member LeRoi Moore. Coffin also fronts his own group, Jeff Coffin & the Mu’tet. When he is not performing, he is traveling the globe Bell teaching a wide range of students about performance, improvisation and various other musical concepts..

Roy Wilfred Wooten, also known as "RoyEl", best known by his Academy stage name , is an inventor, musician, and composer. He is a two-time Grammy winning percussionist and member of the presents the quartet and the Flecktones, along with his brother, electric bass virtuoso . At the heart of their music is Roy’s groundbreaking percussion technique performed on his first Winter Concert invention hey calls the Drumitar. The guitar shaped Drumitar allows him to replicate the sounds of an entire drum-kit with just a few fingers.
