LITTLEHEMPSTON The hamlet of Littlehempston is situated just over a mile to the north east of Totnes. The village and surrounding countryside are within an area of great landscape value. Totnes is known as an Elizabethan town but has much earlier origins with a castle, a wonderful position on the and a main line railway stati on for quick access to Paddington. The town has a well-regarded community college, full range of shops, a weekly market and a wide choice of cultural facillites. The area is host to a variety of cultural, recreational and sporting pursuits: , th e and the South Devon coastline are all within easy reach and both and are within half an hour's drive.
