TINY HOUSE COMMUNITY

The Farm at Penny Lane is looking to Accessory Dwelling Units: A Community Educational Initiative develop a tiny house village intended as permanent supported housing for people with serious mental illnesses. This village will be composed of 15 individual 325 - 400 square foot units, as well as a common house with a pavilion. The students at the Center for Undergraduate Research Assistant - Allie Puppo, 2015-16 Community-Engaged Design at UNC- Greensboro, have developed three possible for the tiny houses in this community. Two focus on accessibility, while the third offers a different layout. The houses were designed to fit within The Servant Center Building Program Study their farm surroundings; and each include a partially or fully enclosed porch that can SITE PLAN serve as an additional living space.
