THE GOLDEN CHARIOT - Pride of South
Embark on a luxurious voyage of discovery through the Cradle of Stone Architecture. The Golden Chariot train named after the famous Stone Chariot in Hampi, a world heritage site, in Southern India will travel through timeless Historical Heritage Sites, Resplendent Palaces, Wildlife and Golden Beaches.
It’s colorful journey begins every Monday from Bangalore and traverses through Mysore, visiting Srirangapatna, Mysore Palace; the Nagarhole National Park (Kabini) and continuing to the historical sites of Shravanabelagola, Belur-the 11th century cradle of Hoysala architecture and a world heritage site, Halebidu, Hampi and thereafter entering into the triangular heritage site of Badami, Pattadakal, Aihole, and finally the Golden Beaches of Goa before ending in Bangalore.

DAY 01 (MON): BANGALORE – MYSORE (THE GOLDEN CHARIOT)
From 1500 Hrs Arrive Taj West End to proceed for the check-in formalities at the hotel followed by the Hi-Tea at Banquet Hall at 1600 Hrs
From 1700 Hrs Proceed for the presentation on do’s and dont’s for The Golden Chariot tour followed by a visit to Chitrakala Parishad / Art gallery. Conclude the tour with a cultural show.
From 1900 Hrs Arrive at Yeshwantpur railway station to a traditional Aarti and Tikka with floral garlands
From 2100 Hrs Departure time for The Golden Chariot train, dinner will be served on board.

DAY 02 (TUE): MYSORE – KABINI (THE GOLDEN CHARIOT)
From 0800 Hrs Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on board
From 1000 Hrs Disembark from train and embark on journey to the Bandipur National Park, Kabini
From 1300 Hrs Arrive at the Jungle Lodge followed by lunch
From 1400 Hrs Embark on boat safari across the jungles followed by the wildlife film Viewing
From 2000 Hrs Dinner and overnight stay at jungle lodge

DAY 03 (WED): KABINI - MYSORE (THE GOLDEN CHARIOT)
From 0630 Hrs Embark on boat safari across the jungles
From 0930 Hrs Departure to Mysore after breakfast
From 1130 Hrs Transfer back to Golden Chariot
From 1300 Hrs Lunch will be served on board The Golden Chariot
From 1500 Hrs Sightseeing tour of Mysore and Srirangapatna
From 1900 Hrs Arrive at the Lalitha Mahal Palace for dinner followed by a cultural performance
From 2200 Hrs Transfer back to Golden Chariot

DAY 04 (THU): HASSAN - HOSPET (THE GOLDEN CHARIOT)
From 0600 Hrs Proceed towards Hassan aboard the train
From 0815 Hrs Arrive at Hassan railway station
From 0900 Hrs Depart for Shravanabelagola
From 1100 Hrs Visit to Brihadeeshwara Temple, built in the 10th century by Raja Chola. It is considered to be artistically the most perfect of Dravida temples.
From 1300 Hrs Lunch will be served on board train
From 1500 Hrs Leave for exploring Belur and Halebid
From 1915 Hrs Transfer back to Golden Chariot to relax and enjoy on-board facilities
From 1945 Hrs Departure time for The Golden Chariot train and dinner will be served on board

DAY 05 (FRI): HAMPI - HOSPET (THE GOLDEN CHARIOT)
From 0600 Hrs Arrive at Hospet
From 0700 Hrs Breakfast onboard the luxury train
From 0830 Hrs Depart for sightseeing in Hampi
From 1300 Hrs Lunch on board Golden Chariot
From 1630 Hrs Sightseeing tour of Vittala Temple (The Stone Chariot)
From 2000 Hrs Return to train for dinner and overnight stay

DAY 06 (SAT): HOSPET - BADAMI (THE GOLDEN CHARIOT)
From 0500 Hrs Golden Chariot leaves for Badami

From 0840 Hrs Sightseeing trip to Badami Caves and Pattadakal
From 1330 Hrs Lunch will be served on board train

DAY 07 (SUN): BADAMI – GOA (THE GOLDEN CHARIOT)

From 1215 Hrs Visit Portuguese house, Goa market etc
From 1400 Hrs Savor the lunch at Majorda Beach Resort and explore the facilities offered by the hotel like spa treatments, casino, swimming pool etc..
From 1915 Hrs Transfer back to Golden Chariot followed by the dinner on board
From 2100 Hrs Departure time for The Golden Chariot train
