How do we go about registering 75 choral singers by the registration deadline? Over the years, we have found that there are three sources of potential choral artists for one's concert: * First...... while you are under no prerequisite to bring your own chorus, of course, they are certainly welcome. Some 80% of guest conductors do so as their choral artists then form a musical nucleus for their concert of 75 varied singers. * Second...... referrals and recommendations from you to MAP's Music Director are critical and essential. Our Music Director will send a personal invitation, on your behalf, to your referrals specifically for your performance. How many choirs should be referred and recommended? As many as you feel should be invited and whom you know personally and are qualified to perform your repertoire.

* Third...... from our general pool of choruses from the US and Canada (which exceeds 10,000 in number), we will announce your date and repertoire to all of our choirs who may consider coming on our 2020 series. More than 4500 of these choirs have appeared on our series since 1984.

Guest Conductor Remuneration for the Performance:

 $3000 conducting fee (This fee is premised on 75 registrations (performers and non-performers); if your concert goes forward with fewer than 75 registrations the fee will be pro-rated. The minimum fee, however, will be $2000 regardless of the pro-rated adjustment.  With a minimum of 125 choral registrants, allowing 35 minutes, the fee will be raised to $4000.  With a minimum of 150 choral registrants, allowing 50 minutes, the fee will be raised to $5000.  Round-trip air fare from your home location to NYC.  Hotel accommodation while in NYC.  Spirit of NY complimentary post-concert celebration cruise with dinner (value $139).  Two complimentary tickets for your concert in Carnegie Hall for your personal use (main parquet seating, value $150 each).

Additionally:

 MidAmerica Productions is responsible for all concert-related matters as well as publicity, management, audience development, and rehearsal organization. The seating in Carnegie Hall is 2807; the average size audience for many years has been 2200. The audience development director is Molly Waymire who has been providing this important service for 27 years for MAP.  News releases and internet postings are a regular function of public relations, and involve our Director of Public Relations with assistance from our Director of Social Media  Tickets go on sale about 60 days prior to the concert at carnegiehall.org and through Molly Waymire at [email protected]. Ticket prices range from $55 to $150.
