2018 COMMENCEMENT Dear Graduates,

The day you have been waiting for is here. And what a wonderful day of celebration it is! This day will become a memorable milestone because it marks the accomplishments of a journey toward a life of meaning and purpose.

One of the hallmarks of a Pacific education is to provide our students with a strong academic foundation, rooted in the liberal arts. Our students gain the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the 21st century through experiential learning, robust career preparation, and a diverse community. Our faculty takes deep interest in our students’ discovery of their talents, providing an unparalleled landscape of learning. Our outcomes demonstrate our students’ success: for the students that graduated last year, 92.5 percent were employed, accepted to graduate or professional school, completing a post-graduate internship, or working for a service organization within six months. We know that our Class of 2018 will truly excel as well.

Whether our students have started as traditional undergraduates, transfer students or non- traditional students completing their degrees, they leave Pacific with all that is necessary to bolster their success in their careers and serve as contributing members of their communities. Dianne Philibosian ’68 In addition to serving as director of CSU Northridge’s Institute for Dianne Philibosian ’68 is an alumnus of the university and a nationally Community Health and Wellbeing, Philibosian also served as associate known expert in the field of early childhood education.
