In order to cope with the increasing international New International No. 44 flight numbers, boarding bridge and lounge for PTB Concourse spot No. 44 were placed in service. ‣Domestic & International Terminal Buildings Connecting Work Started in Jan 2017

In order to cope with the increasing passenger demand, works for connecting the Domestic and International Terminal Buildings are in place. This project is intended to increase the international and domestic flight capacity. We aim to start its operation within FY 2018. Structural Fabric: Reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete 5 floors above ground Total Floor Area: Approx. 39,000㎡ *Total floor area for whole Naha Airport Terminal after work completion approx. 153,000㎡ Facility Placement: 1F: Access lobby International & Domestic Connecting Terminal 2F: Domestic flights security check area, gate area, shops , etc. Building Facility 3F: Check-in lobby for domestic and international flights 4F: Shops 5F: Machine room

‣International Terminal Building Expanding Works Scheduled to start at the end of 2018

In line with the Tokyo Olympic Games, the number of inbound visitors is expected to increase further exceeding the already surpassed capacity estimated at the time of its construction. In order to cope with this situation, plans for expanding the terminal building as well as the area for immigration procedures will be executed.
