On December 18th, 35 members of the Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center in New Rochelle were treated to a Holiday buf- fet luncheon at Dubrovnik Restaurant on Main Street, New Rochelle. The full- course buffet included many flavorful specialties from Dubrovnik’s innovative Croatian/Adriatic menu, from soup to dessert. A fun and flavorful time was en- joyed by all. According to Sara Furlong, recreational supervisor at the Doyle Cen- ter, construction at the facility had made it impossible to hold the Holiday party there. Dubrovnik proprietor Jerry Tomic started this gathering 4 years ago and was delighted to have the group back again. Dubrovnik, the first Croatian restaurant to open in the metropolitan New York area, has been lauded in the food press. The restaurant was recently awarded a ‘Bib Gourmet’ designation by the influen- tial Michelin Guide. www.dubrovnikny. com
