NEW YORK RANGERS PROSPECT REPORT: JAN. 27

1. Matthew Robertson registered three points (one , two assists) in three games during the past week, and he was selected as the game’s Third Star on Jan. 22 at Swift Current, recording two points (one goal, one assist), leading all skaters with eight shots on goal, and posting a plus-two rating. Robertson also registered 17 shots on goal over three games during the past week. The Rangers’ second round pick (49th overall) in the 2019 NHL Entry has tallied an assist/point in three of the last four games (two goals, three assists), and he has also registered a point in 11 of his last 18 games, recording 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) over the 18 contests. Robertson has notched 30 points (10 goals, 20 assists) in 45 WHL games with Edmonton this season, and he has established a WHL career-high in goals in 2019-20. He is tied for sixth among WHL defensemen in goals this season. Among WHL defensemen who are in their U19 season or younger, Robertson ranks third in goals, is tied for fourth in points, and is tied for seventh in assists in 2019-20.

2. tallied two assists and posted a plus-two rating on Jan. 22 against JYP, and also registered 13 attempts and posted a plus-one rating in 19:37 of ice time on Jan. 25 against Karpat. The Rangers’ fifth round pick (132nd overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has recorded 35 points (23 goals, 12 assists) in 40 games in this season, and he has established career-highs in goals, assists, and points this season. Pajuniemi leads all players who are in their U21 season or younger in Liiga in goals and points in 2019-20, and he also ranks second among all players in Liiga in goals this season.

3. K’Andre Miller recorded two assists, including an assist on the game-winning goal, and posted a plus-two rating on Jan. 24 at Notre Dame. The Rangers’ first round pick (22nd overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has registered 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in the last 14 games and 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 24 games in his sophomore year with the University of this season. Among NCAA defensemen who are in their U20 season or younger in 2019-20, Miller ranks second in goals and is tied for fourth in points. In addition, Miller has registered 36 points (11 goals, 25 assists) in 50 career collegiate games, and since the start of last season, he has tallied more points than any other NCAA defenseman in their U20 season or younger.

• Igor Shesterkin earned a win in each of Hartford’s two games during the past week (Jan. 24 vs. Bridgeport and Jan. 25 vs. Lehigh Valley), and he posted a 1.50 GAA and a .952 SV% (59 saves on 62 shots) in the two contests. The Rangers’ fourth round pick (118th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft has earned a win in each of his last six AHL appearances, posting a 1.17 GAA, a .959 SV% (165 saves on 172 shots), and 1 SO over the span, and he has allowed two goals or fewer in each of the six appearances. Shesterkin has posted a 17-4-3 record, along with a 1.90 GAA, a .934 SV%, and 3 SO in 25 AHL appearances with the Wolf Pack this season. He leads the AHL in GAA and SV%, and ranks second in the AHL in wins in 2019-20 (he has earned one fewer win the AHL’s leader in wins this season while appearing in 10 fewer games).

tallied an assist and recorded four shots on goal in 20:34 of ice time on Jan. 23 against Orebro, and posted a plus-one rating on Jan. 25 against Brynas. The Rangers’ first round pick (28th overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has recorded 22 points (five goals, 17 assists) and a plus-17 rating in 30 SHL games with Lulea this season. Lundkvist’s 17 assists and 22 points this season are both the second-most by an SHL defenseman in his U20 season or younger in league history. Lundkvist has also registered 37 points (10 goals, 27 assists) and a plus-26 rating in 99 career SHL games; his 27 assists and 37 points are both the third-most by an SHL defenseman as a U20 player or younger in league history. In addition, his 0.73 points per game average thus far this season would also be the best by an SHL defenseman as a U20 player or younger (min. 10 games played) in one season in league history. Lundkvist is tied for fourth in the SHL in plus/minus rating, is tied for seventh in assists, and ranks 15th in average ice time (20:31) this season. In addition, he is tied for second among SHL defensemen in assists, and is tied for third among SHL defensemen in points and plus/minus rating in 2019-20.

• Tyler Wall made 30 saves in UMass-Lowell’s 2-2 tie against Boston University on Jan. 25. The Rangers’ sixth round pick (174th overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has posted a 13-5-5 record, along with a 2.06 GAA, a .934 SV%, and 2 SO in 23 appearances with UMass-Lowell this season. Wall is tied for sixth in the NCAA in SV%, and is tied for 11th in the NCAA in wins and GAA in 2019-20.

tallied three assists/points in three games over the past week, including two assists on Jan. 23 against HPK. The Rangers’ fourth round pick (98th overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has registered five assists/points and has posted a plus-eight rating over the last eight games; he has notched an assist/point in four of the eight contests, and he has posted a plus/minus rating of even or

better in each of the eight games. Reunanen has registered 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) and a plus-five rating in 35 games with in Liiga this season. He ranks seventh among Liiga defensemen who are in their U22 season or younger in points in 2019-20.

• Morgan Barron tallied an assist, tied for the game-high with five shots on goal, and posted a plus-one rating on Jan. 24 vs. Dartmouth. The Rangers’ sixth round pick (174th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft has registered 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) and a plus-13 rating in 19 games with Cornell this season, helping the team post a 14-1-4 record thus far in 2019-20. Barron leads Cornell in several categories this season, including goals, points, and shots on goal (69), and he is also tied for second on the team in assists.

• Hunter Skinner recorded two points (one goal, one assist) and posted a plus-one rating on Jan. 23 at Windsor. The Rangers’ fourth round pick (112th overall) in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft has registered 26 points (four goals, 22 assists) and a plus- 23 rating in 45 OHL games with London this season. Skinner is tied for fourth among OHL defensemen in plus/minus rating in 2019-20.

• Adam Edstrom tallied a goal on Jan. 21 against Skelleftea and notched an assist on Jan. 23 against Linkoping. The Rangers’ sixth round pick (161st overall) in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft has registered seven points (three goals, four assists) in 33 SHL games with Rogle this season. Edstrom ranks second among all SHL players who are in their U20 season or younger in games played in 2019-20, and he is also tied for eighth among SHL players who are in their U20 season or younger in goals this season.

• Nico Gross notched an assist on Jan. 25 vs. Kingston. The Rangers’ fourth round pick (101st overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has registered 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 36 OHL games with Oshawa this season. Gross has established OHL career-highs in goals and points this season (he notched three goals and 20 points in 56 games with Oshawa in 2018-19).

• Adam Huska made 43 saves and earned his first career ECHL win while making his ECHL debut with on Jan. 24 vs. Worcester, and he posted a 1.53 GAA and a .958 SV% (68 saves on 71 shots) in two appearances with the Mariners during the past week.
