Hopi Reservation in northeastern Arizona occupies parts of and Coconino counties and encompasses approximately 1,542,306 acres. Neighboring towns include Flagstaff, Winslow, and Holbrook. The reservation consists of three major mesas rising up to 7,200 feet, surrounded by low altitude deserts and gullies. The land is most suitable for grazing with potential for agricultural development. Old Oraibi is believed to be the oldest continuously inhabited village in the , established as early as 1150 A.D. Kykotsmovi is the site of the Hopi Tribal Headquarters. The is located in Keams Canyon.
