JICA dispatched a study team headed by Mr. Shinya TAKAHASHI of Nippon Koei Co., LTD. in association with Nippon Koei Latin-America and Caribbean CO., LTD during the period from March 2009 to December 2009. In collaboration with Peruvian counterparts the Study Team conducted the field survey and held a series of discussions with the officials concerned of the Government of Peru. After the Team returned to Japan, further studies were made and then the report was finally completed. I hole that this report will contribute to the improvement of water supply and sanitation in the rural Amazon area of Peru and to the enhancement of the friendship between the two courtiers. Finally, I whish to express my sincere appreciation to the officials concerned of the Government of Peru for their close cooperation extended to the Study Team.
