The Turnpike Showground is North Dorset’s outside events venue, located near Motcombe, along the main Gillingham to Shaftesbury Road it is close to the borders of both Wiltshire & Somerset and just 18 minutes from the A303.

The Showground plays host to a number of events throughout the summer months. The previous bookings include a 1,000+ unit Caravan Rally, Dog Agility Camps, Car Boot Sales, Horse Shows, Weddings and the annual Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show which welcomes over 20,000 visitors on just one day.

Here at Turnpike Showground we can accomdate a range of events big or small with the price dependant on your requirements. E��n� Org��i��r�

Below are the prices for hosting events on Turnpike Showground. The prices are negotiable depending on the size and scale of your event. We are always happy to discuss and work with you.

 

Full site: £900 per Event Day (includes 1 set up day) The day rate decreases with a longer period event

Main Field: £550 per Event Day (includes 1 set up day) The day rate decreases with a longer period event

Smaller Fields: £300 per Event Day (includes 1 set up day) The day rate decreases with a longer period event

  

Toilets: £89 per Event Day While the Showground stocks the toilets with loo roll and soap, we expect the event organiser to leave the toilets as they were found or pay a cleaning charge.

Toilet Tank: Depending on Event size, the toilet tank may need emptying, there is a set charge of £350 to do this.

Crowd Barriers: £2 per barrier £4 per barrier if you would like our team to put them into position

Organisers Unit: £30 for positioning

Standpipes: Depending on requirements

Electric: Standard charge from the metre The Showground can provide adapters from the mains.

Advertising Banner: The advertising banner located on the Gillingham to Shaftesbury road is charged at £100 per week for event organisers.
