Dr. Zhao wishes to study different academic methodologies to improve training, and particularly to reshape how medical students are trained. “In medical school there aren’t a lot of voices that are surgeons,” said Dr. Zhao. “I had to go through surgical training outside of medical school to really learn surgery.
