    Ciencia y Cultura Nº 36 ISSN: 2077-3323 Junio 2016 47-80 El desarrollo de las bibliotecas en Bolivia Development of the libraries in Bolivia Luis Oporto Ordóñez* Resumen Breve estudio sobre el desarrollo de las bibliotecas públicas en Bolivia. Primero se revisan la serie de leyes que el Estado ha ido promulgando para fomentar su desarrollo, y consecuentemente, la política cultural del país, incluyendo a los libros como parte del patrimonio cultural. Luego se analiza y describe el desa- rrollo desigual que experimentaron las bibliotecas en Bolivia, desde la creación de la primera biblioteca pública en el siglo XIX. En 1906, la biblioteca pública de La Paz pasó a depender del municipio, situación similar al resto del país. Posteriormente se crearon las bibliotecas universitarias, otras dependientes de la Iglesia y organismos no gubernamentales, colegios, unidades militares y cen- tros mineros. LA PAZ 1985 A JOSE Y TERESA MIS PADRES A QUIENES DEBO LO QUE SOY INTRODUCCION Se ha dicho ya que la Bolivia de hoy no puede comprenderse sin conocer en detalle lo que era el país antes de Abril de 1952, tampoco sin considerar los profundos cambios que aparejó el movimiento revolucionario de ese año. Creo que esa afirmación puede aplicarse también al caso del cine. El cine boliviano de los años sesenta inaugurado por Jorge Sanjinés y el posterior, no son explicables sin asumir lo que significó 1952 en lo político, social, económico y en lo que, hoy podemos decirlo, fue la apertura de una nueva ruta cultural que ha ampliado y enriquecido las perspectivas hacia una mejor comprensión de este país. Uno de los rasgos que tipifica la dimensión de un proceso revolucionario es, además de los dislocamientos económicos, sociales y políticos, el surgimiento de un nuevo ritmo en la concepción y el desarrollo de la cultura, entendiendo como cultura en este caso el conjunto de expresiones de la creación artística, la investigación en ciencias sociales y la propia reinterpretación de la Cultura (con mayúsculas) de la Nación. Es frecuente la actitud, en la mayor parte de los casos corroborada por los hechos, de desilusión y frustración cuando se mira al 52 y sus frutos. Es ya moneda corriente la certeza amarga de que la Revolución Nacional no sólo se quedó en el camino, sino que además fue traicionada e incluso arrebatada al movimiento popular que forjó ese extraordinario proceso de cambio.

    International Journal of History and Cultural Studies (IJHCS) Volume 1, Issue 1, PP 27-43 ISSN 2454-7646 (Print) & ISSN 2454-7654 (Online) www.arcjournals.org The Elites, Political Power and Treaties: Development and Railways in Bolivia. 1870-19041 Loreto Correa Vera2 National Academy of Political and Strategic Studies of Chile Abstract: "In today's troubled landscape of the Bolivian Chilean relations for a sovereign landlocked Bolivia counters that the 1904 treaty was signed to the force, was an unfair treaty and product of an unjust war. This research shows that there is a close relationship -relation strange lyforgotten today by President Morales- between the economic development of Bolivia and construction of railways. This article uses the approach long duration, starting from the colonial period and puts into perspective the regional structure of railways and roads, as well as the state plans for Bolivia in the early twentieth century, historical moment when peace is signed with Chile. The report, based on information from documentary archives located in Brazil, challenges with evidence in presidential speeches and development plans of the policy of the railways in 1904, the treaty was signed, mainly for economic resources and railway lines built, first by Brazil and then by Chile." 1. INTRODUCTION The present research uses three key axes to understand the Bolivian Railroad Plan.First, the colonial legacy and the difficulties of trade. Second, the effects of the expansion of the extractive economy of the international market and third, the domestic politics in relation to the railroads, both axes being effects of the conditions produced in the country after the conflicts with Chile and Brazil, as well as the ideas in vogue of the dominant political party.

Olcott ___________________________ Peter Sigal ___________________________ Orin Starn ___________________________ Dirk Bönker An abstract of a dissertation submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Department of History in the Graduate School of Duke University 2012 Copyright by Elizabeth Shesko 2012 Abstract This dissertation examines the trajectory of military conscription in Bolivia from Liberals’ imposition of this obligation after coming to power in 1899 to the eve of revolution in 1952. Conscription is an ideal fulcrum for understanding the changing balance between state and society because it was central to their relationship during this period. The lens of military service thus alters our understandings of methods of rule, practices of authority, and ideas about citizenship in and belonging to the Bolivian nation. In eliminating the possibility of purchasing replacements and exemptions for tribute-paying Indians, Liberals brought into the barracks both literate men who were formal citizens and the non-citizens who made up the vast majority of the population.

    PASOS PARA LA PREINSCRIPCIÓN ESCOLAR 2019 Los padres que requieran inscribir a sus hijas, hijos a una unidad El padre, madre o tutor/a verifica el registro de la educativa de alta demanda, tendrán prioridad en los siguientes casos: 1 6 o el estudiante postulante. a. La o el estudiante debe tener un hermano/a en la unidad educativa. b. La o el estudiante debe vivir cerca a la unidad educativa. c. La madre, padre o tutor debe trabajar en cercanías de la unidad educativa Exigir la entrega del talón del formulario como 7 constancia de la preinscripción y contraseña Organizar la documentación correspondiente 2 (certificación de parentesco en la unidad educativa, para el sorteo. recibos de luz o agua, certificado de trabajo del padre, madre y/o tutor/a) que respalde la preinscripción en uno de los casos anteriores del paso uno. Asistir puntualmente el día y hora del sorteo a 8 la unidad educativa correspondiente. Solicitar el formulario en la Dirección Departamental 3 de Educación, Dirección Distrital Educativa o La Dirección de la Unidad Educativa elaborará el acta del sorteo Dirección de Unidad Educativa que corresponda, 9 con la nómina de los estudiantes beneficiados,- rubricada por según las condiciones establecidas. el o la Director/a Distrital, Director/a de la Unidad Educativa y el o la representante de la Junta de Padres y Madres de Familia. 4 Llenar el formulario con los datos solicitados En caso de resultar beneficiado/a la o el estudiante y firmar el mismo acompañando la 10 postulante mediante sorteo, deberá regularizar la documentación correspondiente.
