RE: Updated guidelines for AGSB activities during the Enhanced Community Quarantine

OVERVIEW

This memo updates our guidelines for our activities during the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Metro , which starts tomorrow, August 6, 2021. The original guidelines were contained in the April 22, 2020 memo from the Dean’s Office.

We are bound by the IATF RESOLUTION NO. 130-A Series of 2021, dated July 29, 2021, stating:

Particular to , , , and , which together with the National Capital Region, shall form the NCR Plus Area, only Authorized Persons Outside their Residences as provided for under Section 7(2)(a) of the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the , as amended, shall be allowed to travel into and out of said NCR Plus Area.

RESTRICTED CAMPUS ACCESS

We will also follow the guidance from the Campus Safety and Mobility Office, issued July 31, 2021:

In view of the reimposition of an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in , all four (4) campuses of Ateneo de Manila University will be implementing strict access and movement restrictions. Based on the IATF Resolution 130-A, and IATF Omnibus Guidelines, only people engaged in and/or providing the following essential activities are allowed entry into the campus during ECQ: 1. Essential onsite work in clinics, cafeterias, and laboratories engaged in essential services and COVID-19 initiatives. 2. Relief operations. 3. Medical check-ups at Healthdev. 4. Delivery of food and medical supplies for on-campus residents.

Classes will continue on an online basis as scheduled. STRAMA defenses will likewise continue through synchronous videoconferencing sessions as scheduled by each panel chairperson.

The schedule of classes in the Master in Entrepreneurship, Master in Entrepreneurship – Social Enterprise Development track, and all Institutional Programs will be separately worked out by the Program Directors in coordination with the students of each program.

The schedule of classes for Public Offerings at the Center for Continuing Education will be continued as set by the CCE management committee. For Institutional Programs, CCE will work out the schedules with each client and announce any changes beforehand.

REGISTRATION FOR NEXT TERM

Registration will continue to be conducted fully on-line or by remote communication (telephone or email). Students will not be required to physically come to campus to complete their enrollment.

MEDICAL CONSULTATION

For staff who might need to consult a healthcare professional, our University Physician, Norman Dennis E. Marquez, MD issued the procedure. Please see the Health and Safety Reminders memo issued July 27, 2021. The memo of Dr. Marquez also provides guidance on working from home and protecting your own bubble.

LEAVE CREDITS FOR NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL

The use of leave credits will be guided by the memo from OHRMOD dated July 27, 2021, on the Guidelines on the Advance Use of Leave Credits of Non-Teaching Employees for FY 2021- 2022.
