Statement of condemnation and denouncement

Islam is a religion of love, justice, mercy, guidance and peace for the world, hence carry these values and principles throughout their lives and relationships, which they learned from the Prophet - the greatest human being, the highest in their feelings and hearts.

One billion and eight hundred million Muslims in the world were surprised by what the French officials, headed by the French President "Emmanuel Macron", issued against Islam and Muslims and their prophet Muhammad, regarding terrorist, hostile, extremist and racist speeches, and the contents that it contains urging hatred and exclusion of others on the basis of religion, which caused pain, grief and great anger for Muslims.

As respect for religions and their symbols and rituals is one of the highest human values and the most sublime in civilized societies. Moreover, this extremist address, which is sponsored by the official French institution, and fed by the media and society, is a real threat to social security and peace and peaceful coexistence among the population, and a flagrant violation of the values and principles of freedom of worship and belief and its symbols and rituals, which are guaranteed by international charters and laws.

It would also be a pretext for terrorists to carry out criminal acts that are not approved by Islam, as happened in Nice with a crime that violates our religion, and we all condemn and denounce it.

We, in the Forum for Thought and Strategic Studies, condemn and denounce what was issued by French officials and some media towards the Prophet Muhammad (peace and prayers from be upon him), Islam and Muslims, and accordingly we demand that the world's free people, international and civil institutions and societies do the following:

1 - To compel the French President to retract and apologize for these offensive and shameful statements, by all peaceful, judicial, and popular means.

2 - Putting an end to the provocations emanating from French officials and the French media towards Islam and Muslims and working with a high responsibility to raise awareness to realize the consequences of that on international peace and security.

3 - To stop the campaigns and calls for hate and hostility speech that have become the language adopted by the official state institutions in France towards Islam and Muslims, and which contradict what they adopt in their constitutional principles of respect for the rights of people to worship and belief, their rituals, symbols and places of worship.

4 - To prosecute any manifestations of abuse, incitement, distortion, or ridicule, especially the published caricature that touches the Islamic religion and the Prophet Muhammad.

5 - We appeal to all human rights organizations in France and the world that believe in the values of freedom of belief and worship and human rights to stand together before the official French discourse that violates the feelings and values of others, and to prosecute the perpetrator, and the subsequent violations of Islam and Muslims.

6 - We demand the French political parties and currents to assume moral and ethical responsibility, and that Islam, Muslims and the Prophet Muhammad should not be involved in internal political conflicts, disputes, and election campaigns.

7 - We value the contents of the political speech that German Chancellor Mrs. "Angela Merkel" , Canadian Prime Minister "Justin Trudeau" and President of the European Council "Charles Michel" that came out with, which was characterized by rationality, opposing hate speech, racism, antagonizing others, respecting the Islamic religion and its symbols, and considering Muslims as a part mainly from western societies.

8- We call on the French Parliament to form an urgent parliamentary investigation committee in order to find out the ramifications of the official speeches and statements by French officials towards religious symbols, Islam and Muslims, and their ramifications for foreign relations with and feelings of Muslim peoples.
