While the stage presence of the band is relatively calm, the visual accompaniments filmed and edited by drummer Dave Sumner provide textural kinetics, without actually overpowering the complex rumble the band creates. Triggered samples and treated drum loops roil in the background, while the overpowering down-tuned bass ARTIST: ACTORS & ACTRESSES played by vocalist Scott Bennett bursts at the seams. Nearly all ideas and inspiration surrounding the project, from the name to album concepts, have come out of a mutual fondness for the absurd and almost entirely under the influence of jazz cigarettes. Lo-Panning is another nod back FORMAT: LP to the John Carpenter movie that inspired the entire project (Big Trouble in Little GENRE: NOISE / BLACK / China) and the David Lo Pan character in particular (played by James Hong in the AVANT GARDE film). The concept for the album was to create a comprehensive, fully-submersed analog turntable experience that is both a play on the “Pan” part of the characters BOX LOT: 40 name (listeners can hear and experience the drone emissions coming from both SRLP: $12.98 Eyestone and Haley sliding across the stereo spectrum for the duration of the UPC: 798546267215 program) and a fitting tribute to the mystical powers exemplified by the brilliant EXPORT: NO RESTRICTIONS nemesis of the film itself. Simply denoted “Part I” and “Part II,” both sides of the LP successfully capture the hypnotic, enveloping vortex of David Lo Pan’s ancient raw powers. A subtly constant and humming melody anchors both sides almost like Tracklist: a raga, as Eyestone and Haley blast and churn compositional improvisation across the sonisphere. The results are a deliberately glacial and powerful presence seeping and oozing away from the melted minds of the creators and into the listening rooms 01. PART I (13:27) of the new hosts of these diabolical spirits. Packaged in a hand-screened, 6-color 02. Each is hand-numbered and features glow in the dark vinyl. He wanted to record a song, but his band, The Arrogant Sons Of Bitches, was taking a break. He eventually used his laptop to record it in the bedroom of his parents' house, uploaded it to the internet, and credited to Bomb the Music Industry!. After TASOB broke up, Bomb the Music Industry! became Jeff's main musical focus. By 2008, BtMI! had become more of a musical collective, featuring a slightly different lineup for every song on Scrambles . Over the next three years, the collective trimmed itself down to five more-or-less consistent members with a lot of guests. However, it would only last for two more years, and Bomb the Music Industry! called an indefinite hiatus after their final show on January 19th, 2014, later admitting that there was an "absolute zero" chance of any kind of reunion. They remain surprisingly influential and well known for their DIY ethic which included homemade T-shirts, forming their own record label, and giving away their records for free. In 2017, Jeff composed the music for the Cartoon Network series Craig of the Creek. Bomb the music industry! - album minus band download.
