ĐORĐE BUBALO Associate Professor at the Department of History Overview: Professor Đorđe Bubalo (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor of Serbian Medieval History at the Department of History. His fields of research are proportionally numerous and are not limited to medieval history. His research focuses on the following topics: documentary and everyday literacy in Serbian medieval society; the notariate in medieval Serbia; medieval Serbian law (especially the legislation of Emperor Stefan Dušan); the study and publication of medieval Serbian charters; history of medieval Zeta; history of Boka Kotorska (the Bay of Kotor). In addition to these fields, his research includes the following topics: problems in the study of church history; prosopographical studies; government systems in medieval Serbia; marginal social groups and groups with special duties in the Middle Ages; medieval beekeeping; the fate of medieval phenomena and institutions in modern times; textbooks and didactic literature for schools.
