This year was no exception, and IST's Parent Faculty Organization (PFO) set up their annual Chinese Bazaar on the morning four champions!! of Wednesday January 15, 2020, in the beautiful sprawling corridors outside the Teacher Centre on the second floor of the Han Building of the IST campus. It was a very special and glorious start to the new year for the four sports teams from IST (International School of Tianjin) that played in various tournaments on the second weekend of January 2020, and made history (of sorts). The IST High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams and the IST Middle School U14 boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams all had a very successful weekend! The IST High School basketball teams also travelled to Beijing for the annual ISAC (International Schools Athletic Conference) Beijing-Tianjin basketball tournament. Both teams won all three of their matches to earn first place, and they remain undefeated as ISAC and ISCOT champions this year. This was a great way to sail into the next weekend to play at the ACAMIS (Association of China and Mongolia International Schools) Tournament in Shekou. Thanks go to coaches Mr. Barnes, Mr. Inghram and Mr. Schaff for their positive leadership. The IST Middle School volleyball teams competed at IST and TEDA Global Academy the same weekend in the annual ISCOT (International Schools Conference of Tianjin) tournament.
