Group Newsletter June 2020

[email protected]

Welcome to Summer

The weather we have been experiencing has been lovely although frustrating as we stay local on the walks that you have been undertaking.

Alan Watt has been posting items on the group twitter account @Glasgow Ramblers as well as re-tweeting items from other members.

He would like to post some of your photos from the group walks or photos of places where you enjoy walking at present.

You don't have to use Twitter yourself as Alan is willing to do this and remember in these strange days your photo may uplift & inspire fellow members.

Please send your photos to Alan, [email protected] with a few words to identify place and time.

Please, also, let Alan know if he can add your first name to the post on Twitter or not.

You will have received emails from Ramblers GB, reminding us that there is a suspension of Ramblers activities due to the pandemic and update on the lockdown guidelines with a reminder about the country code for when the time comes that we can walk further than local.

This is National Volunteer week and you can check out:

Last but not least, below are the answers to the quiz in last month's newsletter.

The quiz was courtesy of Catherine Watt and she informs me that she does have other walking themed quizzes.

If you would like Catherine to provide another quiz OR you would like to submit a quiz OR if you have any other idea/suggestions for next month's or future newsletters then please let me know.

Take Care Gerard
