Montefiore Medical Center’s Acquisition of New York Westchester Square Medical Center

We are committed to providing you and your clients with up-to-date information on the status of our network hospital facilities. To that end, please be informed New York Westchester Square Medical Center in the Bronx, New York ceased inpatient services on March 13, 2013. The hospital’s emergency department will remain open. On March 22, 2013, the facility opened under new ownership as Montefiore Westchester Square, and will provide emergency and outpatient services including diagnostic services. Montefiore Westchester Square is a participating facility within the UnitedHealthcare and Oxford networks.

Inpatient services will not be available at Montefiore Westchester Square. We continue to maintain relationships with other neighboring hospitals that offer inpatient services and are participating in our networks, including those listed below.
