PROJECT NAME Cambridge Theatre Located in , the Cambridge Theatre was built in 1930 and has been a Grade II listed building since 1999. It LOCATION has hosted dozens of hit shows including , Fame and Covent Garden, London and it is currently home to the multi award-winning CLIENT show Matilda the Musical. It is owned Sir Andrew Lloyd Really Useful Theatre Company Webber’s Really Useful Theatre Company. BUILDING CATEGORY Grade II Listed Early in 2015, the theatre’s management realised they needed to carry out an essential survey of the ceiling. Unfortunately, SERVICES PROVIDED due to the extremely narrow corridors, this usually means 22 metre tracked spider MEWP erecting internal scaffolding which would close the theatre for with operator about a week, causing a substantial loss in box office revenue. CONTRACT START DATE 27th April 2015 for one day Looking for a more cost-effective alternative they called in Rapid Platforms. Following a detailed survey and a ‘dry run’ on a Monday, the only day the theatre is usually closed, we were able to successfully manoeuvre our CTE T230 tracked spider into position. This meant the essential survey was carried out in one day with reduced disruption to the theatre and no loss of revenue at the box office.

Thanks to your team for getting the “machine into the Cambridge Theatre, it proved invaluable for surveying the ceiling. We will need it again soon for some planned repairs.” Barry Worley - Estate Maintenance Manager, Theatres
