Working with Citadel Theatre:

We wish to acknowledge that the land on which we live and work is Treaty No. 6 territory and a traditional meeting ground and home of the First Nations, including both the treaty signatories – Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stony and Cree-Iroquois – as well as other Indigenous peoples, such as the Blackfoot and Métis, who occupied this land. We extend our appreciation for the opportunity to live, create and perform on this territory.

The Citadel Theatre is in the heart of amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Edmonton, AB), and we are proud to call Treaty 6 territory home. As a regional theatre, it is integral that we ensure that the stories we tell, as well as the composition of our artists, board, staff, students, and audience are reflective of the diverse lived experiences in this dynamic city. We encourage submissions from professional artists who self-identify as members of under-represented communities. DORALEE RHODES (she/her) Age: 25-35 Voice Type: Country and High Belt (E3 to D5)

Doralee Rhodes is the sexy, southern-accented secretary for the boss, Franklin Hart. She is misunderstood at the beginning of the play due to rumours about an affair with the boss, while in actuality she is dealing his daily sexual harassment. Doralee comes to be an important player in the plot to overthrow Hart. She is an eternal optimist, warm and personable, with a sharp and funny sense of humour.

**While this is the role from the movie, please take that as the essence of the role, not the exact copy. All ethnicities, all body types, and bodies of all abilities are strongly encouraged to submit.

FRANKLIN HART JR (he/him) Age: 40-50 Voice Type: Bass / Baritone (C3 to G4)

Franklin Hart is the self-assured, entitled boss of the office. He uses his position as an excuse to harass the women who work for him. He has a sort of charm that got him this far but is wearing thin.
