Welcome
A consultation about proposed improvements to Wolvercote & Cutteslowe roundabouts, Oxford
July 2014 What is this consultation about? This consultation has been prepared by Oxfordshire County Council to provide information about proposed improvements to the Wolvercote and Cutteslowe roundabouts in north Oxford.
These schemes were announced as part of the Oxford and Oxfordshire City Deal in January 2014, and form a key part of the county council’s ‘Connecting Oxfordshire’ transport-enabled vision to help deal with existing transport challenges and future growth pressures.
Why are we proposing these improvements?
Capacity constraints at the Wolvercote and Cutteslowe junctions result in traffic congestion on all junction approaches, but particularly on the A40. As well as congestion, there are concerns about poor pedestrian and cycle access, noise and air pollution. Our proposed improvements are designed to address the current problems and ensure development in Oxfordshire does not lead to worse problems in future. Project timetable
