Child Therapist. Anne Arundel Abuse Counseling Center. (Previously, the Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Anne Arundel County) Family & Children's Services of Central Maryland, Annapolis, MD; Part-time, contractual psychotherapist for children and adolescents who have been physically and/or sexually abused. *February 2001 to September 2002*

Custody Evaluator. Family Law Division, Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Annapolis, MD; Primary purpose was to provide the Court with contested custody and studies. Other responsibilities: to provide crisis mediation on an as needed basis for the Masters and Judges; review Court files pertinent to investigations; interview/review professional and personal references such as doctors, attorneys and interested parties related to each case; recommend appropriate services as needed; assess, identify and evaluate parents' circumstances, strengths and needs; interview children to define their needs consistent to the developmental stages; and testify in Court as an expert witness offering custody recommendations. * January 1998 to September 2000*

Mental Health Practitioner. Spectrum Behavioral Health, Inc. Arnold, MD; contractual mental health practitioners at a private agency providing therapeutic treatment to all ages for individuals, families, couples and groups. Primary clients: adult women, couples, children, adolescents, victims of abuse, and families. *February 1997 to August 1999*

Psychotherapist, Coordinator & Lead Worker. Queen Anne's County Department of Social Services, Centreville, MD; a state social services agency. Primary responsibilities are coordinating the Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (SATP), treating abuse victims and their families, and Lead Worker for the Child Protective Service Unit. Responsibilities related to the SATP: budget of grant money, supervising the SATP aide, supervising a MSW student, assessing and treating physically & sexually abused children and adolescents individually, in groups and with their families with play therapy/ psychotherapy. Additional caseload includes Child Protective Service Investigations, Continuing Child Protective Service Clients, Home Studies, Custody Evaluations, trained evaluator for Mental Injury of children, staff consultant for dual-diagnosed clients, and screening Intake calls/walk-in visits for emergency services or for assistance with abuse. Other responsibilities included giving community outreach presentations concerning reporting and treating abuse. Lead Worker on CPS Unit when the supervisor was unavailable to screen all reported abuse and neglect referrals and assign a worker to the case when appropriate. On-call after hours for Queen Anne's Co. & Kent Co. DSS Child Welfare for alleged , and neglect. *May 1993 to January 1998*

Psychiatric ER Evaluator. Dorchester General Hospital's Psychiatric Emergency Response Team, 3 Cambridge, MD; a non-profit, community hospital. On-call on the average of 2 nights per week for Dorchester County's psychiatric emergencies. Responsibilities include consulting with the physicians and nurses in regard to assessment and recommendations. *August 1993 to October 1993*

Mental Health Therapist. Harford County Addictions and Mental Health Clinic, Bel Air, MD; a general outpatient psychiatric program. Responsibilities included initial interview of assigned patients to determine appropriateness of referral and completion of a psychosocial assessment. Also, managed a therapeutic caseload of individuals and families treating the mentally ill and dual­ diagnosed (mental illness and addictions) patients, and co-facilitated a group for adult, female, and survivors. On-call one workday every four weeks. *January 1992 to May 1993*

Family Specialist and Therapist. Talbot County Health Department, Easton, MD; an outpatient adolescent addictions' program. Developed family specialist's responsibilities for this new position. Participated on the county's lnteragency Committee as well as consulted for the interdisciplinary Student Assistant Program teams at two high schools and two middle schools, and participated on the two high schools' Intervention Teams. Liaison with local agencies. Presented to various community organizations awareness and education of the disease concept, codependency issues, and children coping with alcoholic/drug addicted parent(s). Managed therapeutic caseload, both family and individual. Focus of treatment included disease concept education, codependency issues, children coping with alcoholic/drug addicted parents, child abuse (physical, sexual and/or neglect), dysfunctional parenting, co-existent diagnoses, spousal or impending separation/divorce. Member of Independent Team Certification that determined the need for inpatient chemical dependency treatment of Medical Assistance clients. Recommended and connected families with appropriate resources such as self-help/12-step groups. Facilitated therapeutic support group for pregnant teens and teenage mothers. *September 1990 to January 1992*

Paid MSW Intern. Springfield Hospital Center, Sykesville, MD; a state psychiatric hospital. Member of interdisciplinary team with nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and recreational therapists on an adult multi-county admissions unit.
